Colombo Premier Cricket clinch the Under 15 title

Global Cricket Club Junior Championship 

Colombo Premier Cricket became the under 15 champions of the GCC Junior Cricket Championship as they pulled off a thrilling two runs win in the final played at Thurstan College Cricket Grounds.
Colombo Premier Cricket scored 173 for six wickets in their allotted 30 overs. After a poor performance at the beginning MSSC Academy fought back gallantly to finish 171 all out in 30 overs falling short of two runs.

Earlier in the day, Apex Cricket Academy cruised to a nine wickets victory in the Under 13 final. Sanuth de Silva scored an unbeaten 47 for Apex Cricket Academy to reach the win need after Minon Ranasinghe excelled with a four wicket haul to restrict ARS Cricket Academy to 94 runs.

Former Test cricketer Brendon Kuruppu was the Chief Guest and the women’s national player Vishmi Gunaratne was the guest of honour at the finals. Consultant Psychiatrist Dr. Dasanthi Akmeemana and former Director of Education, Western Province R.A. Kularatne attended the event as special guests.
