Chinese Dragon Café (CDC), Sri Lanka’s oldest and most iconic Chinese restaurant chain, proudly commemorates the first anniversary of its Dubai outlet. This milestone highlights the brand’s unique culinary heritage and its ambition to bring the harmonious fusion of Sri Lankan and Chinese flavors to the world. Since its founding in 1942, CDC has perfected the art of blending the bold, vibrant spices of Sri Lanka with the intricate techniques of Chinese cuisine, creating dishes that evoke both nostalgia and delight. The launch of CDC’s first international outlet in Al Karama, Dubai, in October 2023 marked a groundbreaking moment, not just for the brand but also for Sri Lankan culinary representation globally. It stands as the first Sri Lankan Chinese restaurant to expand internationally, showcasing a rich legacy of flavors to a diverse audience.

“We are thrilled to celebrate our first anniversary in Dubai. Our cuisine is a celebration of heritage, combining the best of Sri Lankan and Chinese traditions to create dishes that resonate with diners across cultures. The warm reception we’ve received here reflects the universal appeal of our unique culinary offering and the memories it evokes for Sri Lankans far from home.” said Udeshi, Managing Director of CDC.
