Cheista Amaraweera commended for designing artistic school emblem in USA

Cheista Amaraweera, a Sri Lankan student in New York has been commended by the Superintendent (Head) of Marlboro Central School District for his artistic design of the emblem of the letterhead of his school.
Superintendent Michael Brooks, in his letter congratulating Cheista, a 16-year-old student in the senior school, says the artistic creation was very impressive and the most fitting emblem to his school.
He further said that he appreciated the outstanding artistic talent of Cheista.
Cheista is son of Dr. N. Amarawera and Sagarika Amaraweera of Polgolla, Kandy, and grandson of A. M. L. B. Polgolla, retired senior public servant of the Sri Lanka Administrative Service, and Mrs. Polgolla.
