Chamara Sampath remanded
New Democratic Front’s (NDF) Badulla District MP Chamara Sampath Dassanayake arrested by the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption (CIABOC) yesterday and produced before the Colombo Magistrate’s Court was granted bail. The MP was taken into custody by the CIABOC after recording his statement regarding alleged irregularities during his tenure as the Uva Chief Minister.
However, Dassanayake was remanded until 01 April in connection with a separate case.
