Canisius Fernando elected new CNCI Chairman

Canisius Fernando was appointed the new Chairman of the Ceylon National Chamber of Industries (CNCI), the premier chamber for Sri Lankan Industry, at the 59th Annual General Meeting (AGM) held at Taj Samudra Hotel, Colombo, recently. He earlier served as CNCI’s Deputy Chairman.

Additional Secretary (Industry and Industrial Development) of the Ministry of Industries, Chaminda Pathiraja, was the chief guest.

Fernando counts decades of experience in the private sector, holding very senior and responsible positions in leading industries in the country.

He obtained his basic degree in Management followed by his Masters Degree in Business Administration from the University of Southern Queensland in Australia. He has also participated in several courses of training related to Management and Quality both at home and overseas. At present, he is the Chief Executive Officer of Aqua Packaging (Pvt) Ltd.
