Budget 2025 passed
The vote on the Third Reading of the Appropriation Bill 2025 was passed in Parliament with a majority of 114 votes last evening. It received 159 votes in favour and 45 votes against. The Bill was presented to Parliament for its First Reading on Jan 9. The Second Reading of the Bill was presented on Feb 17.
The Second Reading debate was held over seven days, from Feb 18 to Feb 25. Following this, the vote on the Second Reading of the Bill, which took place on Feb 25, passed with a majority of 109 votes, with 155 votes in favour and 46 votes against.
The Committee Stage Debate on the Bill was held for 19 days, including four Saturdays, from Feb 27 to yesterday.
