Basil’s call for electing more JVP MPs music to ears of comrades

The JVP has welcomed SLPP National Organiser Basil Rajapaksa’s statement that the JVP should get more seats in the next Parliament.
JVP-led NPP Kalutara District candidate Dr. Nalinda Jayatissa responding to Rajapaksa’s statement on Sunday said: “Basil is the person I admire in the Rajapaksa family because of his political acumen. His statement shows that he has realised the need for the JVP presence in Parliament. His statement stands against what others below him in that party tells about us. Now, Basil has a clear understanding of the times to come and we, too, ask people to listen to his words and vote for the Compass symbol and return as many JVP MPs as possible to the next parliament.”
