Avurudu celebrations at British School
The British School in Colombo (BSC) celebrated the 2023 Sinhala and Tamil New Year with a series of cultural events and traditional Avurudu games.
The entire BSC community, is made up of over 50 nationalities, who joined hands to celebrate this event on a grand scale . The British School very proudly held the Avurudhu celebrations colourfully guiding little ones to uphold the Sri lankan values and customs featuring many traditional song and dance performances from the Junior and Senior School The highlights of the event showcased many Sri Lankan traditions and rituals
