Apprehension of major narcotic distributor leads to a haul with a street value of Rs 153 mn
Acting on information received by SLN intelligence, SLN personnel and Police Narcotic Bureau (PNB) on Wednesday (19) night apprehended a person allegedly distributing narcotics in Colombo and its suburbs.
Navy sources said that the coordinated operation carried out in Colombo-12 area had led to the arrest of the suspect with 19kg and 348g of hashish, 348g of heroin and Ice hidden in a house.
The gross street value of the narcotics recovered wasbelieved to be over Rs. 153 million, navy said.
The 31-year-old suspect held in this operation was identified as a resident of the locality of Colombo-12.
