Annaya, Sahansa win girls’ doubles title

ITF Asia 14 and Under Championship

Annaya Norbert and Sahansa Damsiluni won the girls’ doubles title for the hosts while the boys’ pair settled for the runner-up position of the  boys’ doubles of the ITF Asia 14 and Under Development Championship (South Asia, South East Asia and East Asia) week 1 tournament at the Sri Lanka Tennis Association courts on Thursday.

Apart from the girls’ doubles title, Annaya also earned the runner-up position of the girls’ singles.

Girls doubles final  

Annaya Norbert and Sahansa Damsiluni (Sri Lanka) beat Paglalunan Ella and Torrecampo Maristela (Philippine) 6-2, 2-6, 10-3.

Boys doubles final

Pak Nicholas Ming and Tay Mattew (Singapore)  beat Damsath Peiris and Yudheerya Atapaththu 6-4, 4-6, 10-6.

Girls singles final

Gurung Shivali (Nepal) beat Annaya Norbert (Sri Lanka)  6-1, 6-0.

Boys singles semi-final 

Pak Nicholas Ming (Singapore) beat Damsath Peiris (Sri Lanka) 6-4, 4-3, 6-3.

Muhammad Shayan (Pakistan) beat Tay Matthew (Singapore) 7-6, 6-4. (RF)
