Education Minister Susil Premjayantha yesterday (05) ruled out the possibility of postponing the Advanced Level (A/L) examination.

Several interested parties have urged the government to delay the examination.

The Minister told Parliament that the A/L examinations would be conducted as scheduled.

The Minister said so in answer to questions raised by Opposition Leader Sajith Premadasa and MPs Dullas Alahapperuma, Wimal Weerawansa and Sarath Weerasekara.

Minister Premjayantha said the A/L examination could not be postponed because such a measure would cause a delay in holding other examinations.
