Heavy rains from Saturday
The Department of Meteorology on Thursday said the country would experience heavy rains early next week There was a depression in the Arabian Sea, and it is to become a deep depression by Friday, the Department said.
Several Indian states too would be affected by this, it said.It said there would be heavy showers in the Northern, North-Central and Eastern provinces in the next few days, especially from Saturday (17).
The Department urged the public to take adequate precautions to minimize damages caused by temporary localized strong winds and lightning during thunderstorms.Fishermen have been asked to remain vigilant due to heavy winds and rough seas in the coming days.
