Misty conditions can be expected at some places in Western, Sabaragamuwa, Central and Uva provinces and in Galle and Matara districts during the morning.
Showers will occur at times in the Northern, Eastern and North central provinces. Showers or thundershowers will occur in Western, Sabaragamuwa, Central, Southern, Uva and North-western provinces during the evening or night. Heavy showers above 100 mm are likely at some places in Western, Sabaragamuwa and Northern provinces and in Galle and Matara districts.
Winds will be Easterly or North-easterly in the sea areas around the island. Wind speed will be (15-30) kmph in the sea areas around the island. Wind speed can increase up to (40-45) kmph at times in the sea areas off the coasts extending from Mullaittivu to Puttalam via Kankasanthurai and Mannar.
The sea areas extending from Mullaittivu to Puttalam via Kankasanthurai and Mannar can be fairly rough at times. The other sea areas around the islandwill be slight to moderate. Strong gusty winds and very rough seas can be expected during thundershowers.
The general public is kindly requested to take adequate precautions minimize damages caused by temporary localized strong winds and lightning during thundershowers.

A few showers may occur in the Uva and Eastern provinces and in Matale, Nuwara-Eliya, Polonnaruwa and Hambantota districts. Showers or thundershowers may occur at a few places in the Ratnapura, Galle, Matara and Kalutara districts after 2.00 p.m. Mainly fair weather will prevail in the other areas of the island.

Fairly strong winds of about 40 kmph can be expected at times over the Eastern slopes of the central hills and the north-western province and in Ampara, Hambantota, and Monaragala districts.

Several spells of showers will occur in the Eastern, Uva and Central provinces and in Polonnaruwa and Hambantota districts. Showers or thundershowers may occur at a few places in the Sabaragamuwa province and in Galle, Matara and Kalutara districts after 2.00 p.m.
