Showers will occur at times in the Northern and Eastern provinces, and fairly heavy showers about 50 mm are likely at some places. Showers or thundershowers will occur in Western, Sabaragamuwa, Central, Southern, Uva, North-western and North central provinces during the evening or night. Fairly heavy showers above 75 mm are likely at some places in Western and Sabaragamuwa provinces and in Galle and Matara districts.
Winds will be Easterly or North-easterly in the sea areas around the island. Wind speed will be (15-30) kmph in the sea areas around the island. Wind speed can increase up to (40-45) kmph at times in the sea areas off the coasts extending from Mullaitivu to Puttalam via Kankasanthurai and Mannar.
The sea areas extending from Mullaitivu to Puttalam via Kankasanthurai and Mannar can be fairly rough at times. The other sea areas around the island will be slight to moderate. Strong gusty winds and very rough seas can be expected during thundershowers.

Showers will occur at times in the Northern, Eastern, Central, North-central and Uva provinces Fairly heavy showers above 50 mm are likely at some places in these areas. Showers or thundershowers may occur at a few places in the Sabaragamuwa and Southern provinces and in Kaluthara district after 2.00 p.m.
Fairly strong winds of about 40 kmph can be expected at times over Eastern slopes of the central hills, and in Hambantota, Monaragala and Ampara districts.
