Showers or thundershowers will occur at times in Northern, North-western and Western Provinces and in Puttalam, Galle, Matara, Ampara, Batticaloa and Trincomalee districts and at several places in the other areas of the island after 1.00 pm.
Fairly heavy showers above 75 mm are likely at some places in Central, Sabaragamuwa and Uva provinces.
Winds will be North-westerly to Northerly in the sea areas extending from Puttalam to Hambantota via Colombo and Galle, and North-westerly or variable in direction in the other sea areas around the island.
Wind speed will be (20-35) kmph, Wind speed can be increased up to (40-50) kmph in the sea areas off the coast extending from Puttalam to Trincomalee via Kankasanthurai and in the sea areas off the coast extending from Galle to Hambantota via Matara.
The sea areas extending from Puttalam to Trincomalee via Kankasanthurai and from Galle to Hambantota via Matara can be fairly rough at times. Other sea areas around the island will be slight to moderate. Strong gusty winds and very rough seas can be expected during thundershowers.
The general public is kindly requested to take adequate precautions to minimize damages caused by temporary localized strong winds and lightning during thundershowers.

Fairly heavy showers above 50mm are likely at some places in Northern Province. Showers or thundershowers will occur at several places in Central, Sabaragamuwa, Uva and Southern provinces during the evening or night.
Winds will be North-westerly or variable in direction in the sea areas around the island. Wind speed will be (20-30) kmph and wind speed can be increase up to 40 kmph in the sea areas extending from Puttalam to Trincomalee via Kankasanthurai and up to (45-50) kmph in the sea areas extending from Galle to Hambantota via Matara.
The sea areas off the coasts extending from Galle to Hambantota via Matara can be fairly rough at times. Other sea areas around the island will be slight to moderate. Strong gusty winds and very rough seas can be expected during thundershowers.

Showers or thundershowers will occur at several places in Central, Sabaragamuwa, Uva, Southern and Western provinces during the evening or night. Fairly heavy showers above 50mm are likely at some places. Several spells of light showers may occur in Northern and North-western provinces.
Winds will be North-westerly to Westerly in the sea areas off the coast extending from Colombo to Pottuvil via Galle and Hambantota, and North-westerly or variable in direction in the other sea areas around the island. Wind speed will be (20-30) kmph.
The sea areas around the island will be slight to moderate. Strong gusty winds and very rough seas can be expected during thundershowers.

The Natural Hazards Early Warning Center of the National Building Research Organization has issued land slide early warnings to the districts of Badulla, Galle, Kalutara, Kandy, Kegalle, Kurunagala, Matara and Rathnapura.

Level II landslide early warnings have been issued to the divisional secretaries divisions and surrounding areas of Dehiowita, Kegalle, Mawanella and Bulathkohupitiya in the Kegalle district and Kuruwita, Eheliyagoda and Ratnapura in the Ratnapura district.
Level I landslide early warnings have been issued to the divisional secretaries divisions and surrounding areas of Welimada and Haldumulla in the Badulla district, Elpitiya in the Galle district, Bulathsinhala in the Kalutara district, Yatinuwara and Udapalatha in the Kandy district, Warakapola and Yatiyanthota in the Kegalle district, Polgahawela in the Kurunegala district, Kotapola, Akuressa and Pasgoda in the Matara district and Pelmadulla, Elapatha, Balangoda, Imbulpe, Ayagama, Nivithigala, Kalawana, Openayake, Kiriella, Kahawattta and Godakawela in the Ratnapura district.
