Showers or thundershowers will occur at times in Northern and North-Central Provinces and in Puttalam and Trincomalee districts. Fairly heavy showers above 50mm are likely at some places in Northern Province. Showers or thundershowers will occur at several places in Central, Sabaragamuwa, Uva and Southern provinces during the evening or night.
Winds will be North-westerly or variable in direction in the sea areas around the island. Wind speed will be (20-30) kmph and wind speed can be increase up to 40 kmph in the sea areas extending from Puttalam to Trincomalee via Kankasanthurai and up to (45-50) kmph in the sea areas extending from Galle to Hambantota via Matara.
The sea areas off the coasts extending from Galle to Hambantota via Matara can be fairly rough at times. Other sea areas around the island will be slight to moderate. Strong gusty winds and very rough seas can be expected during thundershowers.
The general public is kindly requested to take adequate precautions to minimize damages caused by temporary localized strong winds and lightning during thundershowers.

The Southwest Monsoon is gradually establishing across the island, and an increase in rainfall over the southwestern parts of the island is expected.
Showers or thundershowers will occur at times in the Western, Sabaragamuwa and North-western provinces and in Galle, Matara, Kandy and Nuwara-Eliya districts. Heavy showers about 100 mm are likely at some places in these areas. Showers or thundershowers may occur at a few places in the Uva province and in Ampara and Batticaloa district after 1.00 pm.
Fairly strong winds about (30-40) kmph can be expected at times over the Western slopes of the Central hills, the Northern, North-central, North-western and Southern provinces and in Trincomalee district.
The general public is kindly requested to take adequate precautions to minimize damage caused by temporary localized strong winds and lightning during thundershowers

Showers or thundershowers may occur at a few places in the Uva and Eastern provinces after 1.00 pm.
Fairly strong winds about (30-40) kmph can be expected at times over the Western slopes of the central hills, Northern, North-central, North-western and Southern provinces and in Trincomalee district.

Showers or thundershowers will occur at times in the Western, Sabaragamuwa and North-western provinces and in Galle, Matara, Kandy and Nuwara-Eliya districts. Fairly heavy showers above 50 mm are likely at some places in the Western and Sabaragamuwa provinces and in Galle and Matara districts. Fair weather will prevail over the rest of the island.
Fairly strong winds about (30-40) kmph can be expected at times over the Western slopes of the central hills, the Northern, North-central, North-western and Southern provinces and in Trincomalee district.
The general public is kindly requested to take adequate precautions to minimize damage caused by temporary localized strong winds and lightning during thundershowers.
