Heavy showers above 100mm are likely at some places in Western, Sabaragamuwa, North-western and Northern provinces and in Galle and Matara districts. Showers or thundershowers will occur at several places elsewhere during the evening or night.
Winds will be south-westerly or variable in direction and speed will be (30-40) kmph. Wind speed can increase up to (50-60) kmph at times in the sea areas off the coasts extending from Puttalam to Pottuvil via Colombo, Galle and Hambantota.
