Misty conditions can be expected at some places in Western, Sabaragamuwa, Central and Uva provinces and in Galle and Matara districts during the morning.
Showers or thundershowers will occur at several places in Western, Southern, Sabaragamuwa, Central, North-western, North-central and Uva provinces in the evening or night.
Wind will be variable and wind speed will be (15-25) kmph in the sea areas around the island. Wind speed may increase up to (40-45) kmph at times in the sea areas off the coasts extending from Matara to Hambantota and from Puttalam to Kankasanthurai via Mannar.
Sea areas around the island will be Slight but the sea areas off the coasts extending from Matara to Hambantota and from Puttalam to Kankasanthurai via Mannar can be fairly rough at times. Strong gusty winds and very rough seas can be expected during thundershowers
The public is kindly requested to take adequate precautions to minimize damages caused by temporary localized strong winds and lightning during thundershowers.

The Deep Depression over the West-central and adjoining Northwest Bay of Bengal is moving west-northwestwards and is currently crossing the North Andhra Pradesh and adjoining South Odisha coasts of India.
Although this system will not have a direct impact on Sri Lanka, the prevailing rainy conditions in the southwestern part of the island are expected to continue due to the wind flow towards the system.
Showers or thundershowers will occur at times in the Western, Sabaragamuwa, Central and North-western provinces and in Galle and Matara Districts. Heavy showerss above 100 mm are likely at some places in the above areas.
A few showers will occur in North-central province and in Mannar district.
Strong winds of about (40-50) kmph can be expected at times over the Western slopes of the Central hills, the North-central and North-western provinces and in Trincomalee, Hambantota and Matale Districts.
The general public is kindly requested to take adequate precautions to minimize damage caused by temporary localized strong winds and lightning during thundershowers.

The Depression over the Northwest Bay of Bengal, to the northeast of Sri Lanka, has intensified into a Deep Depression.
Although this system will not have a direct impact on Sri Lanka,e the prevailing rainy conditions in the southwestern part of the island are expected to continue due to the wind flow towards the system.
Showers or thundershowers will occur at times in the Western, Sabaragamuwa, Central and North-western provinces and in Galle and Matara Districts. Heavy showers above 100 mm are likely at some places in the above areas.
Several spells of showers may occur in the North-central province and Mannar district.

The low-pressure area that was prevailing over the sea area of the Bay of Bengal, to the northeast of the island, has now developed into a depression. It is expected to further develop into a deep depression within the next 24 hours.
Although this system will not have a direct impact on Sri
Lanka, the prevailing rainy conditions in the southwestern part of the island are expected to continue due to the wind flow towards the system.
Showers or thundershowers will occur at times in the Western, Sabaragamuwa, Central and North-western provinces and in Galle and Matara Districts. Heavy showers about 100 mm are likely at some places in the above areas.
