Except for a few showers in Southern province and in Rathnapura district in the evening or night mainly fair weather will prevail elsewhere over the Island.
Winds will be variable in direction and wind speed will be (10-20) kmph in the sea areas around the island
Sea areas around the island will be slight.

Showers will occur at times in the Western, Sabaragamuwa and North-western provinces and in Galle, Matara, Kandy and Nuwara-Eliya districts. Showers or thundershowers may occur at a few places in the Uva province and in Ampara and Batticaloa districts after 1.00 pm.
Fairly strong winds about (30-40) kmph can be expected at times over the Western slopes of the central hills, the Northern, North-central, North-western and Southern provinces and in Trincomalee district.
The general public is kindly requested to take adequate precautions to minimize damage caused by temporary localized strong winds and lightning during thundershowers.
