Showers or thundershowers may occur in Western, Southern, Northern and North-Central provinces during the morning while showers or thundershowers will occur over most parts of the island after 1.00PM. Heavy showers about 100mm are likely at some places in Western, Sabaragamuwa, Uva, Central, Eastern and Southern provinces.

Winds will be south-westerly or variable in direction and wind speed will be (20-30) kmph.

The sea areas around the island will be slight.

The general public is kindly requested to take adequate precautions to minimize damages caused by temporary localized strong winds and lightning during thundershowers.

Showers above 50 mm are likely at some places in the  Uva and Eastern provinces.

Showers or thundershowers may occur at several places in the Uva, Central and Eastern provinces and in Polonnaruwa and Mullaittivu districts after 2.00 p.m. Fairly heavy showers above 50 mm are likely at some places in the  Uva and Eastern provinces.

A few showers will occur in the Western, Sabaragamuwa and North-western provinces and in Galle and Matara districts.

The general public is kindly requested to take adequate precautions to minimize damage caused by temporary localized strong winds and lightning during thundershowers.
