15667 Army personnel AWOL discharged during General Amnesty – Sri Lanka Army
The Sri Lanka Army in a media release has announced that 15667 Army personnel who have been absent without leave (AWOL) since 31 December 2023 have been temporally discharged from their Regimental Centers during the one month General Amnesty which was effective from 20th April to 20th May 2024
In reply to an inquiry made by The Island, the Director General Media & Psychological Operation said that around 8,000 more Army personnel have not availed themselves of the General Amnesty.
