Tourism promotion activities should be carried out through Sri Lankan missions in foreign nations – Sectoral Oversight Committee on International Relations informs SLTDA and SLTPB

The Sectoral Oversight Committee on International Relations chaired by Member of  Parliament  Namal Rajapaksa  when it met recently in Parliament informed the Sri Lanka Tourism Development Authority (SLTDA) and the Sri Lanka Tourism Promotion Bureau (SLTPB) to carry out tourism promotion activities through the Sri Lankan Embassies/High Commissions located in foreign countries. The Committee further informed that the support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs should be extended to the relevant parties for the said purpose.

The importance of attracting tourists from high income countries to Sri Lanka and the importance of increasing the income from the tourism sector was discussed..
