Mainly fair weather will prevail elsewhere over the island.
Winds will be north-easterly and wind speed will be (20-30) kmph. Wind speed may increase up to (40-45) kmph at times in the sea areas off the coast extending from Mannar to Colombo via Puttalam and in sea areas off the coast extending from Matara to Pottuvil via Hambantota.
The sea areas off the coast extending from Mannar to Colombo via Puttalam and in the sea areas off the coast extending from Matara to Pottuvil via Hambantota will be fairly rough at times. The other sea areas around the island may be slight to moderate.

Misty conditions can be expected at some places in Sabaragamuwa and Central provinces during the morning.
Showers or thundershowers will occur in the North-western province and in Colombo and Gampaha districts in the morning and at times in Northern, North-central, Eastern, Uva and Central provinces. Fairly heavy showers above 50 mm can be expected at some places in Eastern, Uva and Central provinces and in Polonnaruwa district. Showers or thundershowers will occur at several places elsewhere during the afternoon or night.
Fairly strong winds of (30-40) kmph can be expected at times over Northern, Eastern, North-central and North-western provinces.
Winds will be north-easterly and speed will be (30-40) kmph. Wind speed can increase up to (50-60) kmph at times in the sea areas off the coast extending from Colombo to Kankasanthurai via Puttalam. Wind speed can increase up to 50 kmph at times in the other sea areas around the island.
The sea areas off the coasts extending from Colombo to Kankasanthurai via and Puttalam will be rough at times. Other sea areas around the island may be fairly rough at times. Strong gusty winds and very rough seas can be expected during thundershowers.
The general public is kindly requested to take adequate precautions to minimize damages caused by temporary localized strong winds and lightning during thundershowers.

The sea areas off the coasts extending from Galle to Hambantota via Colombo, Puttalam, Kankasanthurai, Trincomalee and Batticaloa will be rough at times. Other sea areas around the island may be fairly rough at times.
The swell waves (about 2.0 – 2.5 m) height may increase in the sea areas off the coast extending from Mullaittivu to Batticaloa via Trincomalee. (this is not for land area)

Showers or thundershowers may occur at a few places in Western, Sabaragamuwa and Southern provinces and in Kandy district during the afternoon or night.
Fairly strong winds of (30-40) kmph can be expected at times over Northern, Eastern, North-central and North-western provinces and in Hambantota district.
