Misty conditions can be expected at some places in Central, Sabaragamuwa and Uva provinces during the morning.
A few showers may occur in coastal areas of the western and southern provinces during the morning while showers or thundershowers will occur over most parts of the island during the afternoon or night. Fairly heavy showers above 75 mm can be expected at some places in Uva, Central and Eastern provinces.
Winds will be southerly to south-westerly and wind speed will be (20-30) kmph. Wind speed can increase up to 40kmph at times in the sea areas off the coast extending from Puttalam to Kankasanthurai via Mannar.
The sea areas off the coast extending from Puttalam to Kankasanthurai via Mannar will be moderate.
The general public is kindly requested to take adequate precautions to minimize damages caused by temporary localized strong winds and lightning during thundershowers.

Mainly fair weather will prevail over most parts of the island.
Fairly strong winds of (30-40) kmph can be expected at times over the Eastern slope of the central hills and Northern, North-central, Eastern, North-western and Uva provinces and in Hambantota district.

The sea areas off the coasts extending from Colombo to Mannar via Puttalam and from Matara to Pottuvil via Hambantota will be fairly rough at times.
