Misty conditions can be expected at some places in Central, Sabaragamuwa and Uva provinces during the morning.
Showers or thundershowers will occur at several places in Western, Sabaragamuwa, Central, Southern, North-western and Uva provinces after 1.00 p.m. Showers or thundershowers may occur at a few places elsewhere in the evening or night. Fairly heavy showers above 50 mm are likely at some places in Western, Sabaragamuwa and Uva provinces.
Winds will be south-easterly or variable in the sea areas around the island. Wind speed will be (15-25) kmph.
The sea areas around the island will be slight but strong gusty winds and very rough seas can be expected during thundershowers.
General public is kindly requested to take adequate precautions to minimize damages caused by temporary localized strong winds and lightning during thundershowers.

Winds will be north-easterly and speed will be (20-30) kmph. Wind speed can increase up to 40 kmph at times in the sea areas off the coast extending from Colombo to Mannar via Puttalam and from Galle to Pottuvil via Hambantota.
The sea areas off the coasts extending from Colombo to Mannar via Puttalam and from Galle to Pottuvil via Hambantota will be fairly rough at times.
