A few showers are likely in the Western, Sabaragamuwa and Central provinces while showers or thundershowers may occur at a few places in the Northern and Uva provinces and in Trincomalee district after 2.00 p.m.
The general public is kindly requested to take adequate precautions to minimize damages caused by temporary localized strong winds and lightning during thundershowers.

The low-level atmospheric disturbance to the East of the island developed in to a low pressure system. Cloudy skies can be expected over most parts of the island.
Misty conditions can be expected at some places in the Western, Sabaragamuwa, Central and Southern provinces during the early hours of the morning.
Showers or thundershowers will occur at times in the Northern, North-central and Eastern provinces and at several places in the other areas of the island after 1.00p.m.
Heavy showers above 100 mm are likely at some places in the Northern and Eastern provinces and showers above 50 mm are likely at some places elsewhere.
The general public is kindly requested to take adequate precautions to minimize damages caused by temporary localized strong winds and lightning during thundershowers.

The low-level atmospheric disturbance still persists to the East of the island and under its influence,showers or thundershowers will occur at times in the Northern, North-central and Eastern provinces.
Cloudy skies are expected over the Northern, Eastern, North-central, Uva and Central provinces.
Misty conditions can be expected at some places in the Western, Sabaragamuwa, Central and Southern provinces during the early hours of the morning.
Heavy showers about 100 mm are likely at some places in the Northern and Eastern provinces while fairly heavy showers above 75 mm are likely at some places in the Western, Sabaragamuwa, Central, Southern and Uva provinces.
Showers may occur in the Uva province and in Hambantota district during the morning while showers or thundershowers will occur at several places in the other areas of the island after 1.00 p.m.

Prevailing rainy conditions are expected to continue in the Northern and Eastern provinces due to the low-level atmospheric disturbance developing to the east of the island.
Misty conditions can be expected at some places in Western, Sabaragamuwa, Central, Southern and Uva provinces and in Ampara district during the early hours of the morning.
Showers may occur at times in the Northern, North-central, Eastern and Uva provinces and in Hambantota district while showers or thundershowers will occur in the other areas of the island after 1.00 p.m. Fairly heavy showers above 75 mm are likely at some places in the Western, Sabaragamuwa, Central, Southern and Uva provinces and in Ampara and Batticaloa districts.
