Misty conditions can be expected at some places in Western, Sabaragamuwa, Central and Uva provinces during the morning.

Showers may occur in Northern, Eastern and Southern provinces during the morning while showers or thundershowers will occur at several places in most provinces of the island after 02.00 p.m. Fairly heavy showers above 75mm are likely at some places in Western, Central, Sabaragamuwa, North-western, North-Central and Southern provinces.

Winds will be South-easterly or variable in direction and wind speed will be (20-30) kmph.

The sea areas around the island will be slight but temporarily strong gusty winds and very rough seas can be expected during thundershowers.

The general public is kindly requested to take adequate precautions to minimize damages caused by temporary localized strong winds and lightning during thundershowers.

There is a possibility of ground frost at some places in the Nuwara-Eliya district in the early hours of the morning.

Showers will occur at times in the Northern, North-central, Eastern provinces and in Matale and Nuwara-Eliya districts from today evening. A few showers will occur in the Uva and Northwestern provinces. Showers or thundershowers may occur at a few places elsewhere during evening or night.
