Due to the low-level atmospheric disturbance in the vicinity of Sri Lanka, the prevailing showery condition over the island is expected to continue during the next few days.
Misty conditions can be expected at some places in the Central, Sabaragamuwa and Uva provinces during the early hours of the morning.
Showers are likely in the Western, North-western and Northern provinces and in Trincomalee, Galle and Matara districts during the morning while showers or thundershowers will occur at most places of the island after 1.00 pm. Fairly heavy showers above 75 mm are likely at some places in the Sabaragamuwa, Central, Uva, Southern and North-central provinces.
The general public is kindly requested to take adequate precautions to minimize damages caused by temporary localized strong winds and lightning during thundershowers.

The low pressure area located northeast of the Sri Lanka, still persists. The system is likely to move northwards during next few days. Due to the influence of this system, the current rainy conditions in the island are expected to continue for the next few days.
Showers or thundershowers will occur at times in the Western, Sabaragamuwa, Central, North-western and Northern provinces and in Anuradhapura, Trincomalee, Galle and Matara districts. Showers or thundershowers will occur at other places of the island after 1.00 pm. Heavy showers above 100 mm are likely at some places in the Western, Sabaragamuwa, Central, North-western, and Uva provinces and in Ampara, Batticaloa, Galle and Matara districts.
The general public is kindly requested to take adequate precautions to minimize damage caused by temporary localized strong winds and lightning during thundershowers.

The low pressure area located northeast of the Sri Lanka continues to persist in the sea area in the vicinity of the island. Due to the influence of this system, the current rainy conditions in the island are expected to continue for the next few days.
Showers or thundershowers will occur at times in most parts of the island and Cloudy skies are expected.
Heavy showers above 100 mm are likely at some places in the Western, Sabaragamuwa, Southern, North-western and Northern provinces and in Trincomalee district.
