Saegis Campus holds Graduation Ceremony

Saegis Campus, one of the leading higher education institutions situated at the heart of Colombo, held its graduation ceremony in a glittering style on the 03rd February under the patronage of its Vice Chancellor Professor Nalaka Jayakody, at the Bandaranaike Memorial International Conference Hall (BMICH) convention centre following strict health guidelines, with the view of celebrating its high-flying graduates. A total of 976 students had completed their degrees and diploma programmes.
The distinguished chief guests for the event were Professor Ajantha S. Dharmasiri, Professor in Management at the Postgraduate Institute of Management (PIM), University of Sri Jayewardenepura and industry veteran Mr. Supun Weerasinghe, Director/Group Chief Executive Officer at Dialog Axiata PLC.
Joining in facilitating the ceremony was Saegis Campus Chairman Mr. Bandara Dissanayake, Director- Academic Affairs Senior Professor W G D Dharmaratna, members of the governing council and officials from the Ministry of Education.
A total of 125 graduates received their Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the Canterbury Christ Church University, UK (CCCU) in addition to 21 graduates for the MSc International Business programme. The long-standing partnership between Saegis Campus and the University is only growing stronger with a special emphasis to bring world-class postgraduate programmes that spurs contemporary and innovative thinking in this knowledge era.
These programmes are facilitated by renowned academics and professionals in the country to give one the most up-to-date knowledge and skills today’s leaders should possess, to either enter or succeed in their corporate ladder or to be thriving entrepreneurs in the future.
Further, 201 graduates successfully received their Top-up degrees from CCCU for the BSc (Hons) in Business Management programme and a few others for the BSc (Hons) in Computing, including the Top-up degree in Business Management from Heriot Watt University, UK.
The ceremony also saw some 560 students being awarded the Higher National Diploma (HND) in Business Management, and 64 students the Higher National Diploma (HND) in Computer Science, both from the prestigious Scottish Qualification Authority, UK.

In line with this, the campus also recently partnered with the state to offer various Ministry of Education approved undergraduate degrees under the Interest Free Student Loan (IFSL) scheme.

Pelwatte Dairy launches landmark pension scheme for Sri Lankan dairy farmers
