The SLPP dissidents’ rebellion is only a ruse and the people should not fall for it, says the JVP.

Addressing the media at the Party Headquarters in Pelawatte yesterday, JVP Propaganda Secretary MP Vijitha Herath said: “Eleven parties of the SLPP are criticising the government polices, but theirs is only a ruse.

They would never leave the government though they threaten to do so.”

MP Herath recalled that some of the SLPP dissenters had opposed the provision in the 20th Amendment Bill for dual citizens to enter Parliament, but made U-turn and voted for it.
