Misty conditions can be expected at some places in Western, Sabaragamuwa, Central and Uva provinces during the morning

Showers or thundershowers will occur at several places in  most provinces of the island after 02.00 p.m.  Heavy showers about 100mm are likely at some places in Western and Sabaragamuwa provinces and in Galle and Matara districts.

Winds will be Southeasterly or variable in direction in the sea areas around island and wind speed will be (20-30) kmph.

The sea areas around the island will be slight but temporarily strong gusty winds and very rough seas can be expected during thundershowers.

The general public is kindly requested to take adequate precautions to minimize damages caused by temporary localized strong winds and lightning during thundershowers.

The low pressure area over the island continues to persist and cloudy skies can be expected over most parts of the island.

Misty conditions can be expected at some places in Sabaragamuwa, Central, Uva and Southern provinces during the early hours of the morning.

Showers or thundershowers will occur at times in the Northern, North-central, Eastern, Southern and Uva provinces and at several places in the other areas of the island after 1.00 p.m.  
Heavy showers  about 100 mm are likely at some places in the Western, Sabaragamuwa, Northwestern, Southern and Uva provinces and in Kandy and Nuwara-Eliya districts.
