Several spells of showers will occur in Western, Sabaragamuwa, Southern and North-western provinces and in Kandy and Nuwara-Eliya districts. Showers or thundershowers will occur at several places in Uva and Eastern provinces and in Polonnaruwa and Mullaitivu districts during the evening or night

Winds will be south-westernly and speed will be (25-35) kmph. Wind speed can increase up to (40-50) kmph at times in the sea areas off the coast extending from Puttalam to Kankasanthurai via Mannar and from Hambantota to Pottuvil.

The sea areas off the coast extending from Puttalam to Kankasanthurai via Mannar and from Hambantota to Pottuvil may be fairly rough at times.

General public is kindly requested to take adequate precautions to minimize damages caused by temporary localized strong winds and lightning during thundershowers

Showers or thundershowers will occur at several places in Uva and Eastern provinces during the evening or night.

Showers or thundershowers may occur at several places elsewhere over the island during the evening or night. Fairly heavy showers above 50mm can be expected at some places in Western, Sabaragamuwa and Uva provinces and in Galle, Matara, Ampara and Batticaloa districts.

Winds will be south-westerly and speed will be (20-30) kmph. Wind speed can increase up to (45-55) kmph at times in the sea areas off the coast extending from Chilaw to Kankasanthurai via Mannar and from Hambantota to Pottuvil.

The sea areas off the coast extending from Chilaw to Kankasanthurai via Mannar and from Hambantota to Pottuvil will be fairly rough at times.
