Showers may occur in the Western and Sabaragamuwa provinces and in Galle, Matara and Puttalam districts in the morning while showers or thunder showers will occur at several places in most provinces after 1.00 p.m. Fairly heavy showers above 50 mm are likely at some places in Sabaragamuwa, Central and Uva provinces.
The general public is kindly requested to take adequate precautions to minimize damages caused by lightning and temporary localized strong winds during thundershowers.
