Fairly heavy showers about 75 mm are likely at some places in Western, Sabaragamuwa and Central provinces

Misty conditions can be expected at some places in Western, Sabaragamuwa, Central and Uva provinces and in Galle and Matara districts during the morning.

Showers may occur at few places in the Northern and Eastern provinces during the morning while showers or thundershowers will occur in Western, Central, Sabaragamuwa, Southern, Uva and North-western provinces during the evening or night. Fairly heavy showers about 75 mm are likely at some places in Western, Sabaragamuwa and Central provinces.

Winds will be Easterly or North-easterly in the sea areas around the island. Wind speed will be (15-30) kmph in the sea areas around the island.

The sea areas around the island will be slight to moderate. Strong gusty winds and very rough seas can be expected during thundershowers

The general public is kindly requested to take adequate precautions minimize damages caused by temporary localized strong winds and lightning during thundershowers.

Severa spells of showers will occur in Eastern and Uva provinces and in Polonnaruwa, Nuwara-Eliya and Matale districts.  Showers or thundershowers will occur at several places in Western, Sabaragamuwa, Southern and North-western provinces and in Kandy district after 2.00 p.m. Fairly heavy showers above 50 mm can be expected at some places.

The general public is kindly requested to take adequate precautions to minimize damages caused by temporary localized strong winds and lightning during thundershowers.
