Ceylon Chamber to host Outlook 2021 Forum

The Ceylon Chamber’s annual discourse on the year’s Outlook will be held virtually on February 3, organised by the Chamber Academy. The Outlook webinar will provide the private sector with key insights on global and local indicators as well as perspectives to navigate through the evolving economic and policy climate which would help companies in strategy formulation.

The session will feature a presentation on the Global and Regional Outlook and perspective on Sri Lanka by Ms. Aayushi Chaudhary Economist, India and Sri Lanka HSBC Securities and Capital Markets India. A presentation will also be made by Shiran Fernando, Chief Economist of The Ceylon Chamber of Commerce (CCC) who will outline the key insights from the Outlook 2021 publication. The Outlook 2021 publication, an annual report published by the Economic Intelligence Unit of CCC will be released at the forum. The publication will provide insights to the audience on the economic outlook and cover several sectors of the economy.

The forum will conclude with an interactive panel discussion moderated by Manjula De Silva CEO and Secretary General, CCC. The two speakers will be joined by Amal Cabraal who is presently Chairman and Non-Executive Director of multiple companies, Dr. Chandranath Amarasekara, Director of Economic Research Central Bank of Sri Lanka and Ms. Lakshini Fernando, Macro Economist and Co-Head- Research, Asia Securities.

In a historic move that redefines rural financial security, Pelwatte Dairy Industries has announced the launch of Sri Lanka’s first pension scheme for dairy farmers, reinforcing its commitment to both national self-sufficiency and the welfare of the farming community.
