A few showers will occur in Western and Sabaragamuwa provinces and in Galle and Matara districts. Showers or thundershowers will occur at a few places in Central and Uva provinces and in Ampara, Batticaloa and Polonnaruwa districts during the evening or night and mainly fair weather will prevail elsewhere over the Island.
Winds will be south-westerly and speed will be (25-35) kmph. Wind speed may increase up to (40-50) kmph at times in the sea areas off the coast extending from Hambantota to Pottuvil, and from Puttalam to Trincomalee via Mannar and Kankasanthurai.

Several spells of showers may occur in Uva and Eastern provinces and in Polonnaruwa district while showers or thundershowers will occur at several places in Western, Sabaragamuwa, Southern and Northwestern provinces after 2.00 p.m. Fairly heavy showers about 75mm can be expected at some places in Western, Sabaragamuwa and Southern provinces.
