Prince of Wales, Maliyadewa clash for last semi-final spot  

Under 17 Division 1 Cricket

Prince of Wales College Moratuwa will meet Maliyadewa College Kurunegala in the quarter-final of the Under 17 Division I schools cricket tournament at Campbell Place today.

Prince of Wales, the runner-up of their group in the first round knocked out Ananda College, Colombo and St. Benedict’s College, Kotahena to reach the quarter-finals, while Maliyadewa eliminated Mahanama College, Colombo and St. Aloysius College, Galle to secure their quarter-final place. Maliyadeva were the champions in their group in the first round.

Prince of Wales are led by Prince Fernando while Chandupa Abeysinghe skippers Maliyadewa.

The winners of this match will meet Trinity in the top semi-final. The other semi-final will be played between De Mazenod College, Kandana and St. Sebastian’s College, Moratuwa.
