TNA wants Governor to invite it to form govt. in East

The TNA had requested Eastern Province Governor Rear Adm. (ret.) Mohan Wijewickrema to invite it to form a government in the Eastern Provincial Council since the majority in the Council was now with the opposition, Party Leader R. Sambandan said last night.
His party, the Sri Lanka Muslim Congress and the UNP, which contested against the government have secured 22 seats and become the majority in the council, he said.
Sambandan said they were ready to form a government in the EPC with his party leading it.
