More stranded Lankans brought back from Hong Kong and Oman



A group of 288 Sri Lankans, who were stranded in Oman due to the Covid-19 pandemic arrived in the country yesterday morning (29) onboard a special repatriation flight. 


The passengers had reached the Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA) in Katunayake at around 4.30 am onboard SriLankan flight UL-206 from Muscat International Airport.


The returnees were subjected to PCR tests within the airport premises upon arrival.


Meanwhile, another 26 Sri Lankan nationals stranded in Hong Kong were also repatriated. Their plane touched down at the BIA at around 9.30 pm on Sunday (28).
