Curfew Pass puzzles

When I contacted the OIC of Police Station, Grandpass recently to check whether I could get a curfew pass to go to People’s Bank, at Abdul Jabbar Mawatha and /or Kotahena because the cash deposit machines at Grandpass branch was out of order, his response was that if those banks were a walking distance from my residence a curfew pass was not necessary, and I only had to inform the cops at the checkpoints that I wanted to deposit money.

On my way to the Abdul Jabbar Mawatha branch, I was stopped by one of the four PCs (from Kotahena Police Station) stationed on Messenger Street and was told that permission could not be allowed to proceed. Only after I called the OIC Grandpass that I was lucky to get through this barricade and proceed to Abdul Jabbar Mawatha. When I told him that I needed to go to Kotahena as well, in case the one at Abdul Jabbar Mawatha is not in working condition, he told me that I could not do so without a curfew pass because I was from Layards Broadway.

This is to request that Police stations be given proper guidelines so that the people are not inconvenienced when they apply for curfew passes.
