Chairman of the Committee on Public Enterprises (COPE) MP Sunil Handunneththi, yesterday, said there were five Central Bank forensic audit reports and a 10,000 paged annexure.

He said that it would not be easy for the MPs to read and understand them prior to the Adjournment Debate scheduled for the 18th and 19th of this month.

Since the forensic audit was carried out on the recommendation of the Presidential Commission of Inquiry and the COPE Committee, which investigated the bond issue, Hadunnetti said that the COPE could discuss the matter and prepare a summary.

The COPE Chair said that the Committee on Public Finance headed by MP M.A. Sumanthiran was currently discussing the matter.
