Dineth, Miranga push for big first innings advantage

Dineth Jayakody scored a half century and Miranga Wickramage made 43 for St. Joseph’s to take a big first innings lead after Shalinda Seneviratna and Ashian Daniel restricted De Mazenod to 109 runs on day one of the Under-19 Division I tournament group ‘A’ match at Kandana on Thursday.


Sihina Sithumina was the standout player for the home team as he took four wickets.


St. Joseph’s will commence the last day with a first innings lead of 86 runs with three wickets in hand.

Ravindu, Savindu propel Isipatana


Deciding to bat first Isipatana made 275 for nine wickets declared against Mahinda as Ravindu Ratnayake and Savindu Uthsara scored half centuries on day one of the Under-19 Division I group ‘A’ match at Galle International Ground on Thursday.


In reply, openers Kaushitha Kodithuwakku and Sadew Induwara put on an unbroken first innings stand of 92 runs for Mahinda.
