AG to order inquiry against SG

Attorney General Dappula de Livera will request the Public Service Commission, today, to assign a suitable person to conduct an inquiry into the conduct of Solicitor General Dilrukshi Dias Wickramasinghe.

Solicitor General Wickramasinghe, on Friday, in her Facebook, stated that she had had a telephone conservation with Avant Garde Chairman Nissanka Senadhipathi, but it had been taken out of context.

Considering what the Solicitor General said in the telephone conversation and her acceptance that it was her voice, the Attorney General would forward a directive to the Public Service Commission.

Solicitor General who is the former Director General of the Bribery Commission, which filed charges against Avant Garde Chairman in the floating armory case, has alleged that her conversation with the accused has been distorted and edited and released to the social media.

Wickramasinghe has said reportedly in a Facebook post that she requested the Avant Garde Chairman to release the unedited version of the telephone conversation to the media.

She has also requested the Avant Garde chief to reveal the of the Minister who connected him to her and also urged him to post the full conversation with her.
