Lanka IOC contributes to upliftment of society through CSR initiatives

Lanka IOC PLC, listed & one of the largest private sector companies engaged in marketing of petroleum products is contributing immensely for upliftment of society thru’ its CSR initiatives. Various CSR projects such as renovation of hospitals, donation of ambulances, free health screening camps, providing English education were carried out in the past years with the intention of empowering and enhancing the lives of the underprivileged community.


Environment protection is another such key area where Lanka IOC is taking steps for the sustainability development and in this regard tree plantations and beach cleaning programs are regularlybeing undertaken by the company.


Annual Blood Donation Campaign is an event being organized by the company in the Head Office premises in Colombo and in Trincomalee Terminal each year, collecting more than 250 pints of blood each year. It was held this year for the 8th consecutive time on 29th Aug.19. Lanka IOC has by been duly recognized by the National Blood Bank as a committed organization that conducts successful mobile blood donation camps.


Lanka IOC Managing Director Manoj Gupta donated wheelchairs to physically disabled people recommended by the National Secretariat for Persons with Disabilities and Helpage Sri Lanka. Besides this, specially designed wheelchairs made by Rehab Lanka (Sri Lanka Foundation for the Rehabilitation of the Disabled) were donated to children undergoing treatment in Lady Ridgeway Hospital.


Donation of school bags to children of under- privileged backgrounds was also organised.This year about 150 underprivileged children in schools in Kollupitiya were provided with school bags.
