The 26th annual general meeting of the Sri Lanka Association of Airline Representatives was held on July 3 at the Taj Samudra Hotel.


SLAAR, an association comprising of both passenger and Cargo General Sales Agents has a membership of over 30 foreign airlines in Sri Lanka.


SLAAR takes pride in collectively overcoming challenges that the airline industry faces and engages with regulatory authorities. The Association has over the years maintained high standards and brought continued success to the industry.


The newly elected chairman Gerard Victoria, in his address said:


‘Continuing the benchmark set by my predecessors the Association continued to play a vibrant role in the activities of the airline industry working closely with all stakeholders for the betterment of the industry.


‘Our commitment to maintain high standards and knowledge in the industry lead us to conduct several high level training programs.’


The Chief Guest on the occasion, Ms. Kasturi Chellaraja Wilson, Managing Director, Hemas Pharmaceuticals, Hemas Surgical and Diagnostics Pvt Ltd, Hemas Logistics and Maritime Cluster, motivated the audience with an eloquent and timely speech on "Steering Companies in Turbulent Times".
