NEW DELHI, August 5: Jacqueline Fernandez, the Sri Lankan beauty queen of mixed ethnicity, has topped the Times Celebex for the month of June 2018, The Times of India announced on Saturday.

According to the newspaper, Jacky "grabbed eyeballs for her turn in Race 3 opposite Salman Khan. Also, her social media accounts were abuzz with pictures from her dance tour in USA" with Salman Khan.

In June, she climbed to the top of the Times Celebex List of Bollywood’s top 50 actresses from the fifth position in May. Ranking next to her are Sonam K Ahuja, Alia Bhatt, Priyanka Chopra and Deepika Padukone.

The actors’ list for June is topped by Salman Khan, and followed by Amitabh Bachchan, Anil Kapoor, Akshay Kumar and Shah Rukh Khan.

Launched in September 2012, Times Celebex is a monthly rating index of Bollywood’s top 50 actors and actresses, based on several measurable parameters, including the stars’ box-office performance, their ability to stay in the news across print, TV and online, their brand endorsements, and their popularity among fans on the internet and social media.

These are taken cumulatively to assign the actors a final rank called the ‘T Score.’

Times Celebex claims to be a scientific and robust ranking system based on data collected from over 60 publications and more than 250 tv channels, making it the first ever ranking system for Bollywood.

Jacky, who turns 33 next week, was born in Manama (Bahrain) to Elroy, a Sri Lankan musician, and Kim, an air hostess of Malaysian descent. Her maternal grandfather is a Canadian.

She made her first appearance in a Hindi film called Aladin in 2009. Since then she has appeared in 20 films, including a Hollywood film and Chandran Rutnam’s English-Sri Lankan crime-thriller "According to Mathew." Even though her earlier Bollywood films flopped at the box office, critics have praised her good looks. She has won a few awards too.

However, seven of her Bollywood films have entered the prestigious club of films that have earned over a billion Indian rupees each. They are: Murder, Housfull 2, Race 2, Kick, Dishoom, Judwa 2 and Race 3. Kick, in which she teamed up with superstar Salman Khan in 2014, has established her as one of the most popular actresses. Writing about her performance in Kick, a critic gushed that Jack is "incredibly dazzling and moves like magic."

Last month, she co-founded her activewear clothing lineup, Just F. In July 2014, she opened a restaurant in Colombo called Kaema Sutra in collaboration with chef Darshan Munidasa.

Jacky charges INR 23 million for appearing in a Bollywood film, and her assets are estimated at nine million US dollars.
