Cambrians home for lunch as Kaumal takes seven

Left-arm spinner Kaumal Nanayakkara rattled the batting line up of St. Mary’s College, Kegalle with a seven wicket haul as Prince of Wales College cruised to an innings and 17 runs victory with more than two sessions to spare in the Under-19 Division I tournament match at Moratuwa on Monday.

In reply to Cambrians 177 runs, the visitors were bowled out for 75 and 85 runs respectively in the two innings as the match ended before lunch.

Nanayakkara bowled 21 overs and had 11 maidnes as he gave away only 36 runs. Naduka Fernando was the hero in the first innings as he took five wickets.

Dunith, Lakshan put Joes in command

Spinner Dunith Wellalage shared eight wickets with Lakshan Gamage to skittle out Lumbini for 78 runs before putting on an unbroken ninth wicket stand of 107 runs for St. Joseph’s to post 285 for eight wickets at stumps on day one of their Under-19 Division I tournament match at Darley Road on Monday.

Sonal Dinusha took four wickets for seven runs (11-6-7-4) with his left arm spin as Mahanama, Colombo restricted St. Anthony’s, Wattala to 98 runs on day one of their Under-19 Division I match at Bloomfield ground on Monday.
