Health camp conducted by the Automobile Association of Ceylon

The Automobile Association of Ceylon (AAC) in collaboration with the Lions Club of Kamburupitiya (306A) conducted a Health Camp on Sunday, 9th July 2016 from 8.00 a.m. to 1.00 p.m. for the people affected by the recent floods at the Narandeniya National School in the Upali Wijewardene Auditorium.


The health camp was inaugurated with the lighting of the traditional oil lamp followed by a religious ceremony conducted by Most Ven Omare Kashyapa, Anunayake, Chief Incumbent Illangamgoda Purana Raja Maha Viharaya, Kamburupitiya. The President, Secretary, Members of the Executive Committee and staff of the Association participated at this Health Camp.


General Physician Dr Namal Ratnayake, Gynaecologist, Pediatrician Dr Mahinda Arambepola, Eye Specialist, Dental Surgeon and Technicians Dr Ratnakumara Dissanayak and, Dr Parakrama Wijekoon treated about 500 patients. More than 150 pair of spectacles and 200 tooth brushes were distributed among the patients. About 400 patients were treated for different ailments and free medicine given to them.
