Vibrant transition of INSEE Ecocycle boosts Sri Lanka’s industrial sectorFebruary 16, 2017, 9:36 pm
The nation’s most renowned manufacturer of cement, construction aggregates and solutions, INSEE Cement, (earlier known as Holcim) and the only local manufacturer in Sri Lanka to introduce eco-friendly ‘green’ cement to the country, recently marked a significant milestone in the Company’s history when it launched INSEE Ecocycle, an innovative initiative that enables industries to manage industrial waste. INSEE Ecocycle is the industrial waste management arm of INSEE Group.
INSEE Ecocycle was recently rebranded from Geocycle, introduced by Lafarge-Holcim, before Holcim was acquired by Siam City Cement (Lanka) Ltd. Geocycle pioneered the waste management industry in Sri Lanka, serving over 400 customers as a premium solution provider co-processing and eliminating over 500,000 metric tonnes of industrial waste over the past 14 years. This operation will continue to be carried out at the kiln at the company’s primary cement plant in Puttalam.
