Dialog Launches Sri Lanka’s First Trilingual AI Portal via ai.dialog.lk
Introducing localised AI to all Sri Lankans — with free access for all Dialog users
Dialog Axiata PLC, Sri Lanka’s #1 connectivity provider, announced the launch of Dialog AI, the country’s first trilingual generative AI platform — created to bring the power of artificial intelligence to every Sri Lankan, in Sinhala, Tamil, and English. Available data-free to all Dialog customers, Dialog AI is designed to help people across the country learn faster, work smarter, and solve everyday challenges more easily.
Whether it’s a student preparing for exams, a small business owner writing a proposal, or a farmer checking weather conditions — Dialog AI responds in the language and style most natural to them. It even understands informal expressions like Singlish and Tanglish, offering support that’s truly local and empowers users with intelligent assistance they can relate to and rely on.
Dialog AI is set to make a meaningful impact across education and everyday life. Students can summarise notes, translate content, and practise writing, while teachers can generate lesson plans or simplify complex concepts for multilingual classrooms. By supporting multiple languages and informal dialects, Dialog AI empowers more Sri Lankans to learn independently and confidently — especially in underserved communities where digital resources are limited.
Its impact goes far beyond learning, empowering Sri Lankans across diverse sectors — from agriculture and tourism to small business and beyond. Farmers can get timely, easy-to-understand advice on crop care or pest control by simply asking a question. Entrepreneurs and small businesses can create marketing content, proposals, or customer messages in just a few clicks. Those working in tourism can communicate more confidently with international guests, while even a group of friends planning a trip can use Dialog AI to build a personalised itinerary in seconds.
The platform is designed to understand everyday language and tone, with a strong focus on accuracy, ease of use, and personalisation. Dialog AI upholds the highest standards in data privacy, security, and performance, setting a new benchmark for AI solutions in Sri Lanka.
Access to Dialog AI is simple and seamless via ai.dialog.lk, and is offered free of charge for a trial period. Basic features will continue to remain available at no cost, with optional upgrades for users who require advanced capabilities.
With Dialog AI, Sri Lanka takes a bold step toward digital inclusion — empowering every Sri Lankan to embrace the future in a way that is intelligent, intuitive, and truly their own.
